Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and Falling Snow FTW! ⛄

It's that time of year again. For a chunk of the world, this is a time when snow is in abundance and everything has a nice icy finish to it. What better way to complement this cold outside world with our warm and cozy designs than by adding a totally awesome falling snow effect, now in its 15th year of being revised to be more performant, cooler, and (this year) more accessible with support for the prefers-reduced-motion media query.

The larger article not only walks you through how to add this effect to your own pages, it also explains how the code works so that you can take this basic implementation and really kick it up a few notches and make Santa Claus (and possibly a few of his reindeer) proud.
