Get Started with 3D in CSS! 💻
Hi, *|USERNAME|*!
When we think of creating things for the web, we naturally assume it is going to be two dimensional (aka 2D). A large reason for this is that creating content in 3D is very difficult. We just never even think about 3D as a viable solution for many scenarios where it might be completely relevant. It is 2017. Browser support for 3D is excellent. I think we should change that and provide content in 3D where appropraite.
To help with this change, I created an introduction that walks you through the basics of 3D and how you can manipulate elements in it using just a few bits and pieces of CSS. What you'll create will look something like the following:
Don't let the simplicity of the example trick you. There is a whole lot of craziness powering what you see - craziness our Introduction to 3D in CSS tutorial will expose you to!
Check it out and let me know what you think. As always, if you have a question, please post on the forums for a quick (and friendly!) response.
Cheers,
Kirupa :P
