Use React and React Motion to Build a Sliding Menu π
Β
Hi, *|USERNAME|*!
React is all the rage these days. Everybody seems to be talking about it. Some (who shall remain nameless) even went as far as to write a whole book on it. The thing about React is that some of its best features came from the community who extended it in clever and useful ways. One such extension created by the community is React Motion.
React Motion allows you to easily animate the UI elements in your React app without taking you too far from the JSX you've already written. To get a feel for it, check out the following example:
In the example, you have a menu that smoothly slides in when called, and it smoothly slides out when dismissed. As you can guess, this menu was created entirely in React with animations provided courtesy of React Motion. To learn how to create this sliding menu (and get a deep dive into React Motion), check out the Creating aΒ Sliding Menu in React with React Motion tutorial that was posted recently.
I hope you find the tutorial and this newsletter useful.Β Until next time!
Cheers,
Kirupa :-)
