KIRUPA Newsletter #3: Learn React Without Going Insane 😜
Hi, *|USERNAME|*!
Like many of you, I've been hearing a lot of good things about React. To see that for myself, I decided to give it a spin. I wish I could tell you that the next few hours playing with React was a great experience. IT WASN'T. Instead of doing cool React-like things and writing code, I was setting up my dev environment. After a few hours of that, I was trying to make sense of React's new syntax for defining UI elements. At each step of the way, I kept running into something new (and poorly documented/explained) that made building my simple Hello, world! app a challenge.
To cut a long story short, I eventually wrapped my head around the "React way" of doing things. React brings a lot of great concepts to the table that make building complex UIs a breeze, but getting started with it is pretty complex. To address that problem, I spent the past year creating a bunch of easy-to-follow React tutorials. If you've been trying to learn React and (just like me) had difficulty getting started, this newsletter will help you out.
The React-related links below will not only get you up and running really quickly, they will also give you the depth you need to become a React ninja! :P
LEARN: REACT
The following articles will make learning a React a breeze (or a gale...depending on how familiar you are on wind-related terminology):
These are just the beginning of more React tutorials that you'll see in the future. Bookmark the Learn React page and keep an eye on it for updates.
UPCOMING BOOK : Learning React
If learning React from a physical book (or something on your Kindle) is more up your alley, then you sorta kinda might like this. If that doesn't have you reaching for your wallet, this soon-to-be released book has been edited by the awesomely talented Kyle Murray (Krilnon) and Trevor McCauley (Senocular).
